Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson, the only mainstream media reporter to follow the government’s Fast & Furious scandal, has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice, demanding access to FBI documents that involve her personally, after DOJ started poking around in her life and her business and hacked her computer. Three separate computer forensic exams reportedly showed that hackers used sophisticated methods, technology and software proprietary to the federal government to surreptitiously (and illegally) monitor her work between 2011 and 2013 (F&F and Benghazi). Word is she is also asking for $35 million. No word on criminal charges. (details here)
In his first move as the new chairman of the House Oversight and Government Operations Committee, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) renewed the F&F subpoena issued to Attorney General Eric Holder.
