US Senators Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker (both R-MS) have cosponsored a bill to allow persons with concealed carry permits to use them in other states with similar laws. The “Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act,” S. 498 is authored by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) and has 14 other original co-sponsors; all but one are Republicans.

An identical bill, HR 923, has been introduced into the House by Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-IN).

We need to carefully watch this legislation for amendments from the enemies which would impose registration or further CCW restrictions.
