The FBI and the media apparently teamed up (again) to mislead us about mass shootings.
But also this week, FBI director and former veteran federal prosecutor James Comey testified on the agency’s budget in front of a House panel. At the end of the two-hour budget hearing, US Rep. John Culberson (R-TX), chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Justice, asked Comey about the nature of his interactions with legal concealed carry permit holders.
“You mentioned earlier about criminals with guns, I doubt you’ve ever had a problem with a concealed carry permit holder who is licensed with a background check using their good judgment,” Culberson said. “Could you comment on that as a law enforcement officer?”
“I haven’t had situations where there has been problems with that,” Comey replied.
“With a concealed carry permit holder?” Culberson asked.
“No, not that I can remember,” Comey said.
Comey also railed against encrypted phones and computers, because they keep the government from spying on you. I hope they’re watching me now, watching them.
