Thank you, Veterans.
Election
- Thank you for voting. It was a good day for freedom loving and fiscally responsible Americans. Come January, let the judicial appointments begin. Now prepare for another 4-year fiasco, which will be far better than the alternate 4-year fiasco would have been. Remember the fight never ends.
- Former firearms executive turned gun ban advocate and Giffords acolyte Ryan Busse (D) again lost his election bid to be governor of Montana, garnering only 38% of the vote.
Litigation
- The Tenth US Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of Colorado’s ban on gun sales to adults aged 18-20, saying Colorado’s law is “outside the scope” of the Second Amendment’s protections because it “imposes conditions or qualifications” on the commercial sale or purchase of arms, not on the right to keep or bear arms. The case is Rocky Mountain Gun Owners v. Polis.
- The California (state) Court of Appeals this week reversed a trial judge’s decision that had denied a domestic violence restraining order, and still issued a gun surrender order. (In US v. Rahimi, the Supreme Court held that the law may forbid gun possession by people subject to harassment restraining orders, when the orders were entered based on a showing of actual violence or domestic violence.)

FBI Lies
- We mentioned a few weeks ago that President Joe Biden was using bogus FBI recent crime statistics to tout the Biden/Harris gun ban agenda. It turns out that the FBI’s false data goes back 20 years.
Enemies
As expected, Jackson, MS, Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, a member of Michael Bloomberg’s racist anti-rights group Mayors Against Illegal (sic) Guns, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on felony charges of conspiracy, federal program bribery, use of an interstate facility in aid of racketeering, wire fraud and money laundering. Lumumba said he has never accepted a bribe and believes the prosecution is political, designed to destroy his credibility. The problem with that is that he never had credibility. The investigation into Lumumba’s role in the bribery scheme was conducted by the Biden Department of Justice and the prosecution is being overseen by Biden appointed US Attorney Todd Gee.
You might recall that a few years ago Lumumba issued a gun carry ban that was illegal under state law and was soundly slapped down by the state supreme court before the ink was dry.
Also indicted in the scandal is Hinds County DA Jody Owens, with eight felony counts. Owens was chief policy counsel and managing attorney for the Mississippi Office of the Southern Poverty Law Center hate and anti-gun group.
The Only Ones
- Former Louisville, KY Metro Police Detective Brett Hankison was found guilty last Friday of violating Breonna Taylor’s civil rights during a felonious March 2020 police raid that killed her. The evidence used for probable cause was fabricated, and as a result, Taylor was killed. FWIW, we note that Taylor was black, Hankison is white, and the jury comprised 11 white people and 1 black.
- Former Columbus, Ohio, police officer Adam Coy, 48, was found guilty of murder on Monday and faces life in prison for fatally shooting an unarmed and apparently unthreatening man while Coy was on duty on Dec. 22, 2020. Coy was found guilty by a jury on all three counts: murder, reckless homicide and felonious assault.
- NY State Trooper Thomas Mascia, 27, is under investigation for “inconsistencies” in his story about being shot at a traffic stop. It looks like they think he shot himself and made up a cover story.
