Election
Latrice Westbrooks, the liberal candidate for a Mississippi State Supreme Court Justice seat stands accused of misdemeanor voter fraud by voting in two different cities on the same day. Voting records support the claim, though Judge Westbrooks denies it.
Regarding the Marijuana issues: In a state that has “legalized” the use or possession of marijuana, a federal peace officer can still arrest and charge you with the crime of possession, because it’s still a federal crime (albeit under an unconstitutional federal statute, which most of them are). If you have a medical marijuana card or prescription, or possess or use weed “recreationally,” you are a “prohibited person” under federal gun laws. Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (a marijuana user) or falsifying your statement concerning illegal drug usage on the 4473 gun purchase form are federal felonies with a possible 10-year prison sentence. Here’s an example.
Some good news from North Carolina. Y’all may remember Mr. Robinson. He became the state’s first black lieutenant governor, the second African American elected to North Carolina’s Council of State and the first African American Republican to win a major seat since the 1800s.
There are currently 66 vacant federal judgeships with 41 nominees. Mr. Trump needs to stay on the ball.

I had an interesting experience Tuesday at the polls. While waiting in line outside the church where we vote for our leaders and our future, I heard someone shooting off in the distance. Voting and shooting. Is this a great country or what?
Litigation
The Second Amendment Foundation, joined by the Firearms Policy Coalition, New Jersey Second Amendment Society and two private citizens has filed a federal lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, challenging New Jersey’s restrictive gun laws relating to carrying loaded handguns outside of the home without a permit, along with the state’s onerous regulatory scheme that makes it difficult for average citizens to apply for and receive a carry permit. The lawsuit is known as Bennett v. Davis. (“Davis” is Clayton, NJ Police Chief Andrew Davis, one of the defendants.)
The Second Amendment Foundation and Firearms Policy Coalition have also filed a federal lawsuit against New York City in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, challenging the city’s regulations that essentially combine to ban average law-abiding citizens from carrying loaded handguns outside the home for personal protection. This is a “good reason” case — the NYPD requires applicants to provide a “proper cause,” which amounts to demonstrating a special or heightened need, and the definition of “proper cause” is arbitrary. The case is known as Greco v. City of New York.

FBI’s NICS posted a raw number of 3,305,465 background checks initiated over the past month for gun sales, permits, etc. NSSF’s adjusted figures for only gun sales was 1,769,553, up 60.1% over the October 2019 NSSF-adjusted figure of 1,105,335.
