Ammoland noted this week that according to Mommies/Everytown’s most recent claims, there were 45 fatalities from 95 “school shootings” between the December 2012 Sandy Hook attack and December 9, 2014, by their definitions. (Their numbers, as you might expect, are suspect. See this.)
That equates to 22.5 annual “school shooting” deaths for those years.
Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported “27,483 unintentional fall deaths” in 2011 alone. That is 27,460.5 more annual deaths from unintentional falls than “school shootings.” In just two years, unintentional falls killed nearly as many Americans as were lost in the entire Vietnam War.
The Mommies want to ban guns, supposedly to stop the killings.
But when was the last time you heard of anyone calling for a ban on ladders “even if it just saves one life?” Ever?
That tells you that saving lives isn’t their goal. Disarming you is.
