The National Shooting Sports Foundation adjusted NICS checks for July 2015 were the highest numbers for a July on record. According to the NSSF, there were 946,528 checks as adjusted in July 2015. MS Attorney General Jim Hood (D) has announced five free officer involved shooting training sessions for professionals across the state in August and September, offered in conjunction with the Regional Counterdrug Training Academy, the Law Enforcement Alliance for Peer Support, and the United States Attorney’s Office. We hope that the training is better than Hood’s open carry law opinions.
